The police in Lagos on Friday arraigned a 37-year-old businessman, Lawrence Atikekeresola, before a Lagos State Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja for allegedly making noise in a police station.
The defendant, a resident of 5 Alaga Street Alakia, Isebo in Ibadan, was docked before the on a court-three counts charge of breach of peace and misdemeanour.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The police prosecutor, Insp Innocent Odugbo, alleged that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by making noise and disrupting the serene and peaceful atmosphere in Area “F ” Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
Odugbo claimed that the defendant threatened one Majeed Yahaya.

He maintained that the offence contravened the provisions of sections 56 and 168(1) of the Criminal laws of Lagos State 2015, (revised).
After taken the plea of the defendant, Chief Magistrate S. K. Matepo admitted him to bail in the sum of N50,000, with one surety in like sum.
The Magistrate also ordered that the surety must be gainfully employed with an evidence of two years tax payment to the Lagos State Government and reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
He then adjourned the matter to February 10 for mention
