President Muhammadu Buhari has tested negative to coronavirus following a test conducted Tuesday.
The test became necessary after his Chief of Staff, Malam Abba Kyari tested positive to coronavirus.
Kyari, who was sighted after Jum’aat prayers on Friday, was not seen at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today.
He was believed to have contracted the disease after his recent trip abroad.
He was said to have possibly contracted the virus during a visit to Germany and Egypt for a meeting on the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission, whose executive chairman, Prof. James Momoh, was part of.
The CoS attended many meetings after his return from the trips last week.
Kyari was said to have started coughing during a meeting on Sunday at the Aso Rock Villa, fuelling speculation he could have the virus.
The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, who didn’t pick his call, sent text message to our correspondent, saying: “Sorry, I can’t talk right now.”
